Short answer: choose by what you want to change about Boostcamp

BUSTAFIT is our first alternative when you already chose a routine, train on iPhone and want load, repetitions, RIR and the last useful reference to shape the next decision. Boostcamp fits better when discovering and following programs is the main value; Alpha Progression Pro and Hevy Trainer Pro add generation, Strong prioritises a manual log and Fitbod adapts the session.

You do not need to call Boostcamp worse to justify switching. Define the weekly decision it does not resolve and compare that work.

02

What makes Boostcamp different

Boostcamp starts earlier than a conventional tracker: you can find a program, follow its sessions and log outcomes in one place. Current documentation also separates manual program building from personalised Pro programs. When the program and its notes drive consistency, switching to a diary-only tool can make the system worse.

BUSTAFIT does not replace the Boostcamp library. We favour it once the program is already chosen and friction appears during execution: retrieving the reference, interpreting effort and deciding what happens next.

04

Why BUSTAFIT leads our recommended scenario

BUSTAFIT starts from a useful constraint: once the routine is clear, the valuable data is what changes the next set. Load, repetitions, RIR, the last useful reference and practical guidance reduce mental reconstruction while leaving the decision with the lifter.

A testable improvement

Measure how quickly you can answer: what happened last time, what will I do today, and what will I do if performance drops? When the flow answers during training, history becomes context rather than storage.

The public listing reviewed is for iPhone. We do not attribute automatic program generation, Android, web, CSV export or unproven superior accuracy to BUSTAFIT.

The separating question

Would you switch if you had to reconstruct the program elsewhere? If not, Boostcamp still owns the main job. If the program already lives elsewhere, compare execution quality.

06

Test one program week outside Boostcamp

  1. Freeze the week

Save the program, week, sessions and rules before changing anything.

  2. Replicate two sessions

Keep exercises, ranges and rest; change only the logging tool.

  3. Move one session

Check whether the calendar stays understandable when the week changes.

  4. Force a substitution

Record the variation as a new reference without transferring load as equivalent.

  5. Compare total cost

Include planning outside the app, logging, review and the next decision.

If BUSTAFIT reduces set-by-set friction while the program remains in another source, that combination can be valid. We do not promise automatic Boostcamp program import or synchronisation.
