JEFIT has moved on. Current documentation describes Instant Workout, muscle maps, analytics, session editing and a progression system whose first load engine is live while later adaptation stages remain upcoming. A fair alternative must beat that current product, not a five-year-old memory of JEFIT.

JEFIT official pages currently show both “1,400+” and “1,500+” exercises. We neither weaponize that discrepancy nor pick the larger claim: the matrix calls it a large library and asks whether your actual variants are present. Editorial precision matters more than a round number.

A public exit is not an automatic migration. CSV may preserve date and sets while losing templates, custom names or exercise relationships. Open the file before trusting the button.

Migration checklist that protects the active block

  1. Freeze a copy

Export what JEFIT makes available and save a visible copy of the active routine with order, sets, ranges and rest.

  2. Choose ten exercises

Include a custom exercise, a specific machine, a unilateral movement and an exercise with notes. Find each in the candidate.

  3. Replay three workouts

Log one normal session, one corrected error and one substitution. Do not move the archive yet.

  4. Open the exit

Export from the candidate when documented and locate date, exercise, load, reps and unit in a spreadsheet.

  5. Accept one loss

Write what will not travel and decide whether it is tolerable. If not, keep JEFIT as the archive and move only the active block.

When BUSTAFIT is a genuine alternative

BUSTAFIT fits when you train on iPhone, already own the routine and do not need thousands of exercise choices. The real job is recovering the exposure that matters and deciding the next load or rep with RIR visible. Its product promise sits closer to the set than to an encyclopedic library.

A switch that makes sense

JEFIT stored incline press, 32 kg per dumbbell, 10 reps and a note. In BUSTAFIT you want that reference beside 2 RIR and practical guidance for the next exposure. Move that exercise and two sessions first; do not promise that the entire structure transfers automatically.

We would not recommend BUSTAFIT when Android, publicly documented CSV, a massive library or generated programming is non-negotiable. Hevy, Strong, Alpha or JEFIT itself may do those jobs better. A brand recommendation becomes more trustworthy when it can also say “not here.”

05

Make the decision in twenty minutes

A short route that tests workflow before visual appeal wins
MinuteActionFit signal
0–4Build a three-exercise routineOrder and fields make sense without a long tutorial
4–10Log two sets, one note and effortThe flow does not steal the rest period
10–13Correct load and repetitionsHistory remains clean
13–16Find the last reference and one chartYou recover context, not only records
16–20Review exit, platform and one limitYou can explain the gain and the loss

If BUSTAFIT clears that route on your iPhone and makes the next decision clearer, give it three full sessions. If Hevy, Strong or Alpha wins on a concrete requirement, choose it. If none fixes the friction you wrote down, the best migration is no migration.
