A two-day week you can repeat
| Option | Day A | Day B | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weekdays | Tuesday | Friday | 2–3 days |
| Weekend-friendly | Wednesday | Saturday | 2 days |
| Variable | First opening | Next opening | At least 1 day |
Reviews do not show a universal full-body or split advantage when volume is equated. Full body is a schedule decision here: it touches the major patterns twice and stops one missed workout from becoming a week without upper or lower body.
Sessions A and B: five decisions, not fifteen exercises
| Pattern | Day A | Day B | Sets · reps · RIR |
|---|---|---|---|
| Knee | Squat or leg press | Lunge or guided squat | 3×6–10 · 2 RIR |
| Push | Horizontal press | Incline or overhead press | 3×6–12 · 2 RIR |
| Pull | Row | Pulldown | 3×8–12 · 2 RIR |
| Hip | Romanian deadlift | Hip thrust or leg curl | 2×8–15 · 2 RIR |
| Accessory | Lateral raise or triceps | Calf or biceps | 2×10–20 · 1–3 RIR |
These are 13 working sets, excluding warm-up work. Choose variants you already perform with control and keep them for several weeks. When a workout exceeds your time, remove the accessory first; do not rush every rest period or speed through movements.
Progress with only two weekly references
- Set the range
Keep exercise, order, range and standard comparable.
- Add repetitions
Add one where the intended RIR still holds.
- Complete the range
Do not increase load until every planned set reaches the ceiling.
- Use the smallest jump
Add the minimum available load and return to the bottom of the range.
Press 3×6–10
Week 1: 10, 9 and 8 repetitions at 2 RIR. Week 2: 10, 10 and 9. Week 3: 10, 10 and 10. Only then test the smallest increment. One lower repetition does not require a new routine.
BUSTAFIT stores load, repetitions, RIR and the last reference so the next exposure starts with context. That continuity matters when several days separate sessions. The app guides from recorded performance; it does not invent the first load or replace your judgment.
Keep the sequence when the week breaks
| Situation | Decision | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| You miss A | Do A at the next opening, then B | Always skipping to the preferred day |
| Only one workout fits | Do the pending session and continue next week | Merging A and B |
| A third day appears | Use it for walking, technique or rest | Adding a full routine without reviewing volume |
| Three days fit every week | Move to the dedicated 3-day guide | Improvising a new third day each week |
Do not punish an absence with back-to-back full sessions. The goal is a run of comparable weeks. Stop a set after sharp pain, dizziness or loss of control and seek appropriate assessment if the issue is severe or persists.
